As a Publications Intern at Free State Review (for 2 years), I managed the community bookstore website (Kelly’s Book Shop). To help promote their authors, I added every contributor’s recently published book on the website, a favorite blurb about the book, and a link of where each book may be purchased. I also read and edited fiction, nonfiction, plays, and poetry.

I have worked for 3 literary journals before founding my own: Free State Review, Sonora Review, and Exposition Review, in which I served as an intern to the first two and then an associate editor at Exposition Review. After 2 years there, I was promoted to a fiction co-editor position where I edited for a year. Overall, these experiences gave me 3+ years of editing experience after I earned my BAs in English and Creative Writing from the University of Arizona.

I started FLARE Magazine in 2025, and I’ve edited for over a year now! I’m a big advocate for amplifying marginalized voices, especially in the chronic illness, disability, and mental health space, and I’m in charge of all communication, editing, website design, and social media management/growth – @flarelitmag for Bluesky (800+ followers), Twitter/X (300+ followers, and Instagram (2,700+ followers).

Through Upwork and Fiverr (3+ years), I have also edited short stories, essays, children’s books, YA novels, poems, business writing, poetry collections, and more. Check out my services on the Editing Services tab. I have also edited nonfiction, business, self-help, and leadership books.

I also have experience writing sample dialogue and pitching a storyline for a mobile game development company.

I freelance edit for a digital marketing agency (1.5+ years), where I edit blogs and articles on various topics, including healthcare/mental health, business, technology, entertainment, and more, using AP Style and client-specific guides.
